Well it's been several months since our last website update. We've had a lot going on over the past few months and we have the pictures to prove it!

It turns out that finished closets are a key factor to being able to move into a house...especially when one of its inhabitants could clothe a small village. The closets are now done and the unpacking is underway! The stone work was also just completed. How sweet it is to have something other than Tyvek to come home to. Oh yes, the sushi. Kris and Dani had the great idea to come over so we could try our hand at making Sushi. What great (tasting) fun. We broke into the saki stash to celebrate our collective first making of sushi and the new casita stone.

We made a week long trip to IL for Grandpa White's funeral. Loy Maxwell White was a great man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He and Grandma Ruth created a great family that we're proud to be a part of.

No website update is complete without plenty of pics of our favorite girl. This pic is a fine example of what happens when Mom steps away for a few mins, leaving Ava with Daddy.

We decided to make a family vacation out of a business trip to Oregon. Ava really enjoyed playing in the snow...almost as much as her Daddy.

We opted to go with tile countertops in the kitchen.

Earl helped me put up the cedar soffit - thanks Earl! He was later rewarded with some relaxing septic excavation on the backhoe.

Grammy and Papaw flew in from IL to spend a week with us over Christmas. It was a great visit and we're still wondering how they were able to pack so many gifts into their luggage.

We've been doing some inside work on the house lately. Things are progressing pretty well and we're still expecting to be ready to move in by early to mid-Jan. If you know anyone that's looking for a house to buy, send them our way!

Chelese had a good time celebrating her 29th birthday at the ranchito. We had Walter Higgs and the Shuffle Pigs come out and play some blues for us...good times.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Austin. Uncle John, Aunt Mary and Maggie flew in from IL and Tish and Nicole drove in from Dallas. Dani did a fantastic job on the holiday feast and we all enjoyed the time together. There were quite a few games of Wii played as well! Good fun for all!

We celebrated an early Thanksgiving in Houston with Lloyd's family. David, Michelle and Julia came in from Salt Lake City. All the grandparents were there too! We enjoyed a day of good food and great company. It was great to see all the cousins together.

Lloyd participated in his annual bike ride from Austin to New Braunfels and this time Ava tagged along in her trailer. She did quite well and went a considerable distance! Chris drove in from Dallas to make this his 2nd Wurstride.

Our cute little ladybug enjoyed this holiday. She did not enjoy wearing her headband though!!!

Ava enjoyed her first trip to the Austin Zoo. She really liked feeding the animals and the train ride was fun too! We had a good time with our friends Kirsten and Aidan.

Since we're still working on boring utilities at the house, I thought I'd add a few new pics of our other favorite thing to photograph. It was a toss up between the pic you see above and the bath mohawk. I'm starting to practice at being a sensitive Dad by posting the more flattering pic.

We've been working mostly on underground utilities lately, which aren't very photogenic. Luckily Andrew came to the rescue with several truck loads of cedar so you have something worthy to look at. I'm sure this won't be the last of the fire pics.

We flew to IL for Brad and Nancy's wedding. Lloyd came back after a few days but the girls stayed an extra week to visit family. One of the many highlights of the trip was Ava adding a new attention getting pose (above) to her repertoire.

We had a yard sale recently in preparation for our future move. Chelese did a good job selling our stuff while Ava had fun playing in the yard.

Lloyd took a week off of work to get the house weathered in. We had a few days of rain which slowed things down, but we still got quite a bit of work done on the casita.
